Vincent LEMAIRE

An ENSAM graduate (Arts et Métiers, class of 1988), Vincent joined the Albi-based SME SAFRA in 1992, serving as its President from 2007 to 2025.

Over the years, he spearheaded numerous diversification and company development projects. Notably, Vincent is the creator of the Businova H₂, the first hydrogen bus manufactured in France and one of the foundational projects for French heavy-duty hydrogen mobility.

With SAFRA, he played a decisive role in transitioning hydrogen applied to heavy transport from experimentation to commercial operation in France as early as 2019. This venture, conducted alongside technological and industrial partners of the era—including H2TEAM—helped foster the emergence of a genuine French industrial sector centered around the hydrogen bus and its infrastructure.

His career is also deeply intertwined with the history of SEM EVEER’HY’POLE, better known today as H2TEAM: Vincent has been involved in the Albi ecosystem since our company’s inception in December 2009. He served as a board member until 2025, guiding the company through its major development milestones.

As SAFRA’s President for nearly 18 years, he championed an ambitious growth plan centered on transport decarbonization projects, helping the company grow to 300 employees. Today, his knowledge of the national and international public transport ecosystem is exceptionally broad and widely recognized.

Vincent is also actively involved in the regional hydrogen ecosystem, notably serving on the board of France Hydrogène’s Occitanie branch.

In 2026, he founded his consulting firm, MATERIEL TRANSIT CONSEIL, to put this wealth of experience at the service of mobility stakeholders and regional authorities.

It is therefore only natural that our paths cross once again today.

Vincent is now joining the H2TEAM Hydrogen Engineering Services expert network to support public and private stakeholders in deploying heavy-duty hydrogen mobility solutions within their regions.
