Nicolas Daudou

Deputy Managing Director

A committed leader within the national hydrogen community, he began his career in 2002 as a Materials Engineer at the start-up N-GHY—a spin-off from a research project at the École des Mines d’Albi-Carmaux specializing in the engineering and design of hydrogen generators to supply PEMFC and SOFC fuel cells. Serving as a scientific program coordinator and then Senior Project Manager for public and private partners, he joined SEM EVEER’HY’POLE / H2TEAM in 2011 to structure and develop a hydrogen mobility testing center project at the Albi Circuit. In 2013, he spearheaded the installation at this site of the first fast-charging hydrogen station in the Midi-Pyrénées region, followed in 2014 by the installation of the first public hydrogen refueling station in France, representing one of the foundational building blocks that enabled the creation of French hydrogen mobility. An expert in safety and the certification/homologation of hydrogen systems, he provided technical support to SAFRA from 2012 to 2019 for the development and market launch of the first French hydrogen-electric bus, the “Businova”, which was homologated in October 2019. This premier technical reference subsequently enabled the development of a network of over 70 H2TEAM partners and clients, including major industrial players in the road, rail, maritime, river, and aeronautical sectors developing hydrogen solutions. Now boasting over 24 years of experience and expertise in hydrogen technologies, he is passionate about economics, project success, and the success of partner companies that support research and development, training, or the deployment of hydrogen solutions in France and Europe for the decarbonization of mobility and industry.
